Montee Ball

From the Football Field to a Greater Purpose

Montee Ball knows what it means to perform under pressure.

As one of the most accomplished running backs in college football history, His Hall of Fame career was defined by hard work, discipline, and success at the highest levels of competition. From breaking records at the University of Wisconsin to playing professionally in the NFL, he experienced the highs that many young athletes dream about.

But like many athletes, Montee also faced challenges that weren't visible from the stands.

The pressure to perform, mental health challenges, and the transition beyond sports revealed an important reality: success on the field does not automatically translate to well-being off the field.

Those experiences became the foundation for a new mission.

Today, Montee is committed to helping young athletes, families, coaches, and communities create healthier conversations around mental health. Through Game Plan Life Foundation, he works to ensure that young people have the support, resources, and trusted relationships they need before challenges become crises.

Why Game Plan Life Foundation Exists

Sports have a unique ability to bring people together. They build confidence, create discipline, teach resilience, and foster lifelong relationships.

They also place young people in environments where trusted adults have the opportunity to notice when something isn't right.

A coach may notice a shift in behavior. An athletic director may recognize signs of withdrawal. But knowing something is wrong and knowing what to do next are two different things.

Game Plan Life Foundation was created to bridge that gap.
